Areas of Interest

Disruptive and societal improvements in health and wellness driven by convergence of multiple exponential technologies.

What technology’s potential over the next 10 years most excites you?
AI and other exponential technologies driving improved drug discovery and treatment as well as precision medicine.

Who has most influenced your thinking and why?
My father, a retired accomplished cardiologist. He encouraged me to remain curious, push for the right answer, act with kindness and stay focused. He also emphasized you can learn new things at any point – for example, he learned Russian when he retired so that he could read the literature works in the original language. Through him teaching me bridge, chess, and mahjong, he taught me to think strategically, competitively and ahead.

What attributes do you look for in an entrepreneur?
Creativity, excitement, laser focus, drive and vision. Openness to feedback, assessing and incorporating other points of view a must.

What skill would you like to learn?
Singing. Quite difficult for me as I am tone deaf!
